HYROX training on the Sunshine Coast.
Eight runs. Eight stations. One clock. Our dedicated HYROX classes train the race as it's actually run — legs already full of lactate, station technique holding, pacing under control.
Built for the format
Race prep, not random cardio.
HYROX rewards the athlete who can keep running after the sled. That's a specific skill, and general conditioning doesn't build it. Our HYROX sessions are written around the race structure: run intervals that hold a target pace, station work at competition load, and deliberate transitions so your legs learn what it feels like to move from a sled pull straight back onto the floor.
Sessions rotate through compromised running, station strength and full simulation work as an event approaches. Early in a block you'll spend more time on mechanics — how to set your hips on the sled push, how to break wall balls before they break you, how to carry without shredding your grip. Closer to a race we run longer pieces at pace, then pull it back so you arrive fresh.
You don't need a race entry to train here, and you don't need a running background. Coaches give you pacing numbers based on where you are now, and scale distances and loads until they fit. Plenty of members run HYROX alongside their regular CrossFit classes — the two complement each other well, with CrossFit building the strength base and HYROX sharpening the engine.
Sessions run Monday 5:00am, Thursday 7:15am and Saturday 6:00am at Newspaper Place, Maroochydore, drawing athletes from Mooloolaba, Buderim, Kawana and Sippy Downs. Unlimited membership covers every HYROX class — compare plans on memberships.

Who it suits
First-time racers
You've entered a HYROX event and want a plan instead of guesswork. We build your run-to-station transitions so race day isn't the first time you've done them back to back.
Returning competitors
Chasing a PB or a Pro-division time. We work on pacing discipline, compromised running and the stations that cost you minutes last race.
Runners who want strength
If you can run but the sled and the lunges break you, this is the class. Strength work is added without wrecking your legs for your long run.
Anyone who just loves the engine
You don't need a race entry. Plenty of members do HYROX purely because they like long, honest, measurable work.
